It's been a while since I've updated. So I just finished my last class and I'm getting ready to start my externship on Sunday. I'm really looking forward to it. Anyway here are some pictures from my advanced garde manger and international class. Sadly my camera seems to be busted. >.> Warranty yay!

It looks like I have my externship. All I have to do is get the paperwork signed to make it official. *dances* I'm going to be sticking it out at Ghalia Organic Desserts. It's unpaid, of course, but it'll be a great experience. They make awesome baked goodies. I look forward learning the ropes from them. I really love one of the flavor twists they put on traditional baked goods like cookies and brownies.

On another note, I'm still looking for a full-time job and I'm still apartment hunting. I look forward to finally being able to make my cats indoors only. I worry about them being inside, but my grandfather would kill them if I brought them in. It's just about time for another vet visit so he can check my kitty's skin. Everything's looking up at this point.

I'm ServSafe certified now!  *dances*  Now to frame my certificate.  In other news, I'm looking for an externship, hopefully one at a bakery, but I'll take what I can get. So far I've applied at Alcove cafe & bakery and Ghalia's Organic Desserts. Tomorrow, I'll continue hunting around and hopefully knock some more names off the list.

I'm really having a great time, and getting to eat what we create is always a plus. I'm looking forward to completing the program and getting a job that I won't absolutely loath for once. I'll take more pictures since I have to make a portfolio  and submit it with my resume for grading.

So I just finished my second class last Friday, so far my GPA is a 3.0. So I'll need an 'A' in my next class, which is baking. Which should be pleasant since I really like baking and I'd love the chance to work with chocolate more.

This week I'm on my spring break and it's been relaxing so far. I got my tax refund, and it was basically done when I finished paying all of my bills, and picking up stuff from school. I'm left with about 50 dollars to get gas and maybe a snack with. I can't wait until I finish this program. Being broke is sucking majorly right now.

I have been working on my Dragon(well re-working it) and Husky fursuit, since I have nothing else to do but play video games, work on fursuits, and draw. I've also had the opportunity to work on my poaching technique, I'm getting better with layering on flavors with delicious results. Mmmm, salmon.

Next week I'll probably spend most of my time after school in the career office checking out the potential externships.

Just posting to show I'm still alive. I'm still enjoying my new job, it's not much in terms of money (80 bucks a week) but they're willing to work with my school schedule which is more than what I can say from the majority of retailers around here. I'm still in school, I just completed my first month(only 5 more to go). CSCA is pretty fun, it's a nice close knit community of teachers and students, not to mention the many companies that recruit prospects from the school. I'm really enjoying the smaller class sizes, there are 15 people in my class to it's a lot of 1 on 1 time with the instructor. While I haven't burnt anything to a crisp yet, I need to work on my time management skills. I want to have no regrets when I get my diploma and my new job with my prospective employer. At least I'll be able to pay off bills more effectively then. Anyway my goal is to graduate with a 3.4+ GPA and then I'll probably be heading over to an apprenticeship for about 6 mos. and I'll start taking classes for my BS in Business/Hospitality Management. So things are going well to say the least. Of course now I'll have to decide whether or not I want to stay in the country for my externship.

Well, I've been busy for the past few days. I'm enjoying the pet nutrition specialist position immensely. It's a very laid-back job, all I have to do is try to "convert" people to my pet food products. I've gotten to meet a variety of people, and their pets. It's a nice change from Wal*mart. I only work Saturday and Sunday, for 4 hours a day. The pay's pretty good at 12 bucks an hour so, at least I can afford to pay my bills. I'm currently going to school, and I'll be done with my diploma by this September. I'm already setting up contacts, so hopefully I'll have a job waiting for me right after I graduate.

It's that time again, I only have 2 weeks of school left. *dances* I just finished and emailed my documentation project to my Basic Fabrication teacher. On Wednesday I have to see my teacher to turn in my power supply. I'm so happy I'm done with this and it works perfectly, I ran a radio off of it and I didn't experience any sparking, smoking, or anything shorting out, unlike some of my classmates. After this I only have one more final left and I won't be taking that until June 4th, I believe. I've already registered for the summer session and fall semester and I was able to get into the math class I needed, which is good. Hopefully I won't have too many problems with my financial aid next semester.

I received the material for my eyes and some sewing machine needles strong enough to take on faux fur and leather so I should be working on my husky body soon, that is as soon as I figure out how to use my sewing machine, tips or informational sites would be well appreciated if anyone knows any. Oh and I visited LA's Fashion District a couple of days ago, we found the street where there was a ton of fabric, hopefully I can get Paws to take me when I get paid next week.

I'm also redoing my design for code red, I want to incorporate black in the suit somewhere. I ordered some swatches for the black fur but Denver Fabrics messed up and sent me someone else's order. Of course I need to pick up some thread for my sewing machine.

Yesterday I finally got my pokemon diamond version, didn't really get to play it due to homework. I started on my Code Red husky head yesterday. The semester is almost over! *sighs* I'm still going to summer school though, but I have a couple of days to sleep in. *drools* I get sleep!. My manager is giving me my regular hours again, so I'll have some extra money to put up for FC and for my fursuit fund.
Things I need to remember to get done before the week is over:

1. Extend hotel reservation for FC for one more day.

2. Call my counselor.

3.Work on my Documentation.

4. Locate a transformer for my power supply

5. Remind myself to register for the Fall Semester next Monday.

6. Do some kind of work on my fursuit(s).

7. Replenish my supply of gummy bears.

Now, off to play with my DS.

My God I've never traveled so much in my life. My college career has so far been the most nomadic experience in my life. I just found out that UCLA isn't offering the class I need to make up, so I have to go back to UC Davis. I don't have much of a problem with that considering I've always traveled alone to and from the school so getting there isn't the problem. I need to find some where to stay during the 3 month summer session. I'm hoping I can stay on campus, because it'll be more convenient for me. I'm also a bit excited to see Bobar and Riley. They are the two mares I met while I was up there, they were both pregnant at the time I was up there, so I should be able to see their young-ins. Also here are some pictures from Califur I forgot to upload because I'm just special like that. I regret not getting a picture with Party Pony.

On another note I'm not feeling so hot today, stuffy/runny nose, fatigue, my eyes are dry and stinging and I feel nauseated. I better hurry up and get something for my sinuses before I get another sinus infection.

*sighs* It never fails, usually once a semester something comes up to possibly screw me over in one way or another. I just found out yesterday that the admins didn't register me for the right art class. I've been on the instructor's role sheet from the beginning of the semester until this week. My name mysteriously disappears from the roster. Which is irritating but not the end of the world, this was just a filler class, so academically I'm not hurting though I did need the units. I'll have to make them up during summer school. It looks like I'll have to go to UCLA for the summer, I just need to find out how to get there. I should be able to get a good amount of work done on my fursuit done next week, then I have Mid-terms two days before Califur. Califur is going to be the break I needed. I'll also be working on building my power supply, I still need some parts. I got my circuit board etched so that's going well so far. Now off to Wal*mart.

Today I got my machine and the merchant said it could handle fur, if it can't I'll return it. It says on the box that it can handle some leathers, so it should be able to handle some faux fur. I bought a Singer model no. 3116 for about 93 bucks. It didn't seem like too bad a deal. I still need to get needles, thread, and the beginning sewing book. I just had my first test of the semester today, I aced it, it was a lot easier than I thought. I also got a really high score on my soddering practice kit. This week went well, I don't have class tomorrow since I went to the Ghetty(sp?) and did all of my sketching. So many beautiful works of art in one place, I must go there on my own one day, when it's sunny. It rained on us. All I have to do is shade the areas. I'll should be able to pick up all things I need tomorrow. I also should be making my duct-tape dummy tomorrow too.

I just watched BBF's FC 07 video and it was awesome, it makes me even more psyched about going to FC 08. It looks like such a blast, I didn't get to see many of the suits that I was looking for, but it's not like he can be everywhere at one. I'll be sure to bring my camera and take lots of pictures. By the time January rolls around I should have more than enough money to go and hopefully put down a deposit on a new suit. Califur is so close, I can't wait to go. Nothing our of the ordinary happened this week I went to school, spent time with the boyfriend, and am currently getting ready to go to work in the hour of so. I plan on working on my foot paws this weekend and maybe start my hand paws next week. I also need to get a sewing machine or surger(I don't know where to get one from) so I can finish my suit and start my second suit.

Nothing much has been happening lately, I got the fur for my fursuit today and for my Code Red husky. I still need to name him, I suck at names. I plan on start to fur my head either this or next week. I also need to get some high-density for the legs and chest padding. I can't wait until I get done. School is going well, I'm forcing myself not to procrastinate. Not much else to report on aside from me being psyched about Califur.
